Peter Leggo's Pitts

This is the Pitts S1-D that Peter Leggo built over a number of years near Cambridge, in between various geological expeditions abroad. First flights were from Duxford Airfield and the aircraft is now based at Leicester Airport.

The engine is a 180 hp Lycoming with Bendix fuel injection. The spruce for the project came from James Latham Ltd in London, while the hardware was purchased from B&F in the USA.

Peter's requirements are now for a four-seat Jodel for European travel, so he has reluctantly decided to sell the aeroplane. The new owner is Shawn Doyle, and the aircraft remains at Leicester.
